Fun Fact: The icicle plant was introduced to America and planted along dunes to stabilize the soil but unfortunately because the plant retains so much moisture in its succulent leaves its roots are shallow and it actually speeds up erosion. But my oh my, a hillside with this flower in full bloom is absolutely stunning to see, an organic carpet of color!
