The whole basin is really a series of layers, each of which has lakes. Each layer feels different, as each lake feels different. Sibling personalities that stem from each other but are unique unto themselves. Between these layers are any number of grassy ramps that lead between them. It’s like a stroll in a park, accept this park has no trails and is quite remote.

This view is from the apex of a gap leading between Ursa and Vee Lakes, just across from my camp. I stayed up here for awhile taking in the undulating geography. My camp a few days later would be on one of those little peninsulas jutting out into Vee Lake. What a grand time it is to wander up there, free from the world without. A basin brimming with adventure, solitude and freedom.
