I walked over before sunrise, eager to get its first rays of light falling onto Seven Gables. I climbed up onto a rib of granite separating two grassy chutes. The far edge of Vee lake illuminates the skies reflection.
Sunrise happens everyday everywhere. It’s happening somewhere on the Earth at every second, even as you read this. Take the time to watch it, just occasionally, it’ll slow your mind down and reveal an appreciation of the coming day. I do it every morning, even down in the world below. But up here I give it more attention and tip my head to its reveal, saluting a ‘good morning’ as the sun breaks the eastern ridge.
