Patience. I’ve tried to photograph in this spot several times over a few years. I never enjoyed what I captured. I couldn’t convey the feeling of flow, of an almost equanimous structure. I then acquired a new camera, an extremely wide Hasselblad 903SWC and came back here to run the first rolls of film through it. I was able to bring in more balance to the scene. Composed to trap the eye within and force the flow of water and static log to calm your mind into a similar state.
