With a camera I’ve been wanting for close on 20 years finally in hand I wander over to Dillon Falls, just on the outskirts of Bend, Oregon. It’s a Hasselblad 903SWC, an extremely wide angle medium format, fixed-lens camera. I’ve been in the Hasselblad family for my entire career and it gives me such a good feeling to add this beauty to my pack.

I walk along the edge of the canyon, shooting a few frames. The clouds are flowing nicely and the air is crisp. I make a long exposure, getting the water to flow. It’s not until I develop and scan the film later that I truly see how sharp this lens is. It’s sublime!
