There aren’t many aspens here, save for a few scattered pockets. I was walking along the Deschutes River, a dozen miles upstream from town, and came across a stand of them glowing in bright autumn yellow. I loved the structure of the branches and the movement of the leaves. Attaching a 250mm lens allowed me to isolate these two things. With a longer shutter speed I could get the subtle movement of leaves in wind while retaining a strong graphic element in the branches.
