The end of a mountain journey is filled with both joy and sadness. Joy for the time spent wandering, sadness for its close. I am but a few miles from the trailhead, squeezing a few last frames out before I leave. I will be back, the Sierra is as much a part of me as anything in my life is. I exist in a simplicity up here I don’t experience back in the world. And that is hard to leave.
