After a week of cloudless skies I awoke to sleet and snow and storm clouds. I jump out of bed with giddiness and delight. I packed quickly, not eating breakfast, hoisted my pack and sped off. I finally had some good nasty weather to shoot in.

Glen Pass is steep but I scarcely felt it. Frame after frame wound through my camera as I climbed higher into the storm. Near the summit I looked south over Rae Lakes with the clouds streaming from the east. There was a drabness I wanted to capture. A sullen atmosphere that felt very much at odds with how I was feeling. I finally had a storm to work with.
