The Wide Frame

Perspective. How we look at something is key to how we interpret it, and color is the most illusive element. This collection is an attempt to merge reality with abstracted color. Reality because we see with perspective close to 1:2, but reality is not my aim; emotion and mystery are. So, when I look at a landscape for color, I am searching for a hard edge palette. Strong color blocks to lay the foundation of a feeling. I do not seek ornamental beauty, but the mystery of something

In Search Of Landscape

A lone oak,
In a field of yellow grass

Sea bound horizon,
Tones of stretched blue

Morning clouds,
Building over distant mountains

In search of ghosted landscape,
The frame that isolates art

From life
