Heavy can be the days of sustained solitude. Days came and went of not speaking a word or seeing anyone, off-trail and in a remote mountain wilderness. I was spending time wandering around this whole basin, in and out of hidden canyons and up to unnamed lakes. I was getting in my head and then these moments of euphoria would wash over me and I’d swim, yawp and lay out naked in beds of wildflowers. It was all so visceral and emotional. I was in these swings when I framed this up. An isolate, like me. No supporting structure, just a lone peak dangling in a storm.
