I usually don’t return to capture the same subject over and over again. If I like an image I’ve made it’ll be the equivalent of its type specimen in my portfolio. I do however return to the same geographic areas. I found myself back in Silver Falls State Park on my way to Portland for an architectural photoshoot and stopped for a few hours. The fog was rolling in and the various waterfalls were flowing thick. South Falls is the first waterfall on the parks main waterfall loop. I initially passed it and continued on. But after a few hours of not much but a good soaking I captured this on my return to the car. Just a detail through a veil of fog and the cool December air.
